Kowloon East strives to be a distinctive and vibrant district. To this end, it has initiated many construction plans and projects. Take the Kai Tak Development as an example, it is a large-scale project with diversified items under it and the total area is over 320 hectares. Behind every development project, there is always a group of construction workers and professionals who put in hard work to make things happen.
We have chosen scaffolding workers to represent the construction industry and be the subject of this Column. Scaffolding gives people an impression of continuous extension and the act has to be done manually. We make use of scaffolding here to symbolise the passing on of traditional wisdom and the vision of a continuously developing Hong Kong.
